Their economy is booming and somewhat emboldened by a American debt that is rising leading to Chinese lenders in the American economy.... so yes. With more capital comes more influence over world policy. This makes me think about Japan in the early 80's and Germany in the 90's.... the difference here though is that China has the natural resources to sustain their markets... and they have a real military. They are a world leader and there is really nothing to slow this down.

Not a world leader , but surly a strong economy is in making ,

Any world leader in making should be "the set of principals they follow"
no merely having "fire power" "economic power" "technological power" and so on ,

A world leading country should be a sample to be followed , the best social principals ,
