Absolutely terrible - a mediocre singer trying to pretend he's something he's not - and YOU help to perpetuate the fraud by buying his tat.
Aled Jones is even worse. Since his voice broke his voice is among the most bland I have ever heard. At least Grobag's can be inoffensively pleasant.
Well, you DID ask. You won't find many in the music profession that have a good word to say about singers such as Josh Grobag, Russel Watson, Andrea Boccelli(sm), Charlotte Church and the truly awful Andrea Giordano.
Try listening to some REAL singers for a change.

I must say... I don't care for or about so called "cross over" artists. Groban, Jones, Bocelli even. Most of their music is unremarkable. The groups are even worse - Bond, All Angels, etc. All trying to cash in with "new" takes on classical music. They all turn out to be flashes in the pan. The true classical musician is the composers voice - they strive to produce what the composer had in mind when he wrote the piece. Not a version perverted by passing trend telling us what the composer should have written (for todays market).

Yes. I agree with you. You Raise Me Up is one of the best songs I've heard from Josh Groban.

he has a wonderful voice, but he doesn't sing the music I like. someone in my office used to play a cd of his over and over and over, so that kind of turned me off to him.
