As far as I am aware the first talkie .rendition of Frankenstein was by James Whale and starred Boris Karloff as "the monster".

There was a silent version just after the turn of the century, but I don't know who played it.

Not sure, possibly Boris Karloff or was that Dracula?

Film made in 1931 with Boris Karloff as Frankenstein.
Did a search it gave information as i have said above. I know he also played Dracula.

It was Augustus Phillips....this film was released on 18 March 1910 directed by J. Searle Dawley and written by Mary Shelley andJ. Searle Dawley .
