If you ask then you must not be one. Hell yes, it's the hardest job anyone could ever have. It's a choice too but it's a job. So, if you work and raise kids you have two jobs. It's the hardest job anyone can have. You have the ability to screw up a human being for the rest of their life or to show them what you believe is the right way and cross your fingers and hope they turn out well.

I'm a stay-at-home mom, so being a parent is my job even though I'm not get $ for it.
I guess it depends on your child. My baby is not perfect no matter what my in-laws say, but most of the time he's easy going; if he isn't hungry, tired or stinky.
My job as the stay-at-home mom is easy. All day, I clean (includes shoveling snow), clothe baby and myself, care for baby's needs, watch TV/spend time on internet, and cook. Not a long day.
I think there are jobs out there that are more hard then this, and I've had one of them before baby.

Its not a job because a job you only work 40 hrs and you can quit when you want. Being a parent is 24/7/365 and you never stop.

It is if it's unexpected, if you're not ready financially or don't have both parents involved, otherwise it is something that motivates you everyday, to raise and educate a life properly so that they too can pass that down to the next generation
