I've got a million monkeys and given them each their own typewriter, but they keep giving me stories about how good bananas are. I don't think that's exactly Shakespeare-caliber material.

How long do I need to wait before they've written the greatest novel in history?

A million monkeys? I think you should be more concerned with getting a shovel to clean up. I've seen what monkeys do with feces at the zoo - alls I got to say is DUCK! Sister.

to get shakespeare-caliber stories you have to feed them spear shakes. Just grind up some spears and add icecream

First you need to wait for them to evolve into people, which should take about 3-4 weeks.

It's better to do it yourself so you can make things your own way. I'm an author myself and know from experience.
