My second child cut his eyeteeth first also. Try putting a wet washcloth in the freezer for a few minutes and let her chew on that. They like to bite down on hard things, it relieves the pain, so maybe your finger if you can handle it. Keep up with the tylenol and orajel at bedtime. You might have to rock her to sleep or pat her back till those teeth cut. Poor baby.

While teeth usually come in the same order for most babies, it isn't unusual for it to vary. My daughter got her first two teeth at the bottom middle, and then her third tooth was the 2nd top right, and the 2nd top left is close behind. The middle top two don't even seem very close yet.
It is hard, and sometimes after you've tried all the meds and tricks, they still have discomfort. Have you try the homeopathic remedies - Hylands Teething Tablets or Camilia by Boiron. Usually the peak pain only last for a couple of days, so just do what you can to comfort her and keep her comfortable. Rock her to sleep if you have to (it won't create a habit), let her sleep more if she wants to, distract her during the day and give her a chilled wash cloth or teething toy to soothe the swollen gums.

First teeth can play "peek-a-boo" before finally popping up to stay. It's fairly common, but I've never heard of an eye tooth as being the first to cut, usually it's one of the bottom front two. I wouldn't worry about it, all kids are different. I do have a suggestion for pain relief when he is teething again- Hylands Homeopathic Teething Tablets. Orajel tastes awful, and wears off quickly because of all of the excess saliva babies produce when teething. Good luck!

My baby had a milk tooth (I've heard that's what they are called) when she was born. It was hard and just bumped up in the gums (not cutting through) then a month or so later it went back down. I have no clue where it went but she is now 19 months and has nearly 20 teeth, including molars, and they are all in the correct spots.

I'm sorry your little one is going through that, there's really nothing you can do aside from hold her and comfort her through it, while keeping up the orajel. My son cut six teeth all at once and had thrush at the same time. That was the worst week of his life so far, it was awful. We took him to the doctor, got medicine for the thrush and were told all we could do was keep the orajel on and give him all the love we could. It was hard but we got through it.

I'll wager it is a lateral incisor and not an eye tooth.
For teething, some Tylenol. Don't rub whiskey on it.

nobody is the same
frozen eggo waffles are good fro teething, they are cold & nutritious at the same time & will help
call you pediatrician, they may be able to prescribe something stronger that is safe if nothing else works.
