Weird spotting this question on line. It was the very same thing I wondered myself yesterday, quite simply out of the blue. The scriptures were translated, was God used in the scriptures? Is it English? If not, then I would say it is purely co-incidental.

None. God is just the English translation of the German word Gott, which bears no resemblance to the Hebrew name for God, which no practicing Jew uses.
