I heard a violin track of Jules Massenet's "Meditation" composition, and I swore I heard it in a movie or something else because I don't normally listen to classical music or opera's. Anyone know where I might have heard it before?

As a professional music manager for nearly 30 years, I have built myself several databases on music - including one which lists classical pieces used in films.

The Meditation from Thaïs appears in the following films:
Angie
Ladies in Lavender
Titanic

I suspect it might be the last in which you heard the piece.

You may also have heard it in a television or radio commercial. Advertisers love classical music because much of it is not under copyright.
