I've always been interested in the solar system's natural satellites (or moons), and how varied and unique each one is. We have so many worlds to explore in the future. So, which one do you think is the most beautiful or your favourite? Why?

I like Mimas. I think of it as the Death Star from Star Wars. The giant crater Herschel looks like a rocket engine nozzle set into the moon.

Cue-ball Enceladus would be an amazing place to explore, including the ice volcanos. Miranda's soft charcoal swirls of deep dust over its reset geology are pretty amazing.

Saturn tops my list with its unique and highly visible ring system.

We know now based on flybys of deep space probes that Uranus also has rings, but Uranus rotates almost 90 degrees from the ecliptic.

I like our own Moon. It is one of the biggest in the solar system and we get a free view of it all the time. Twelve of us have even walked on it!

Jupiter's moon Io is pretty cool. Fantastic colours, and the surface keeps changing because of all the volcanic activity.

Even though it's man-made, the International Space Station is my favorite "satellite" by far.

I agree that Io is spectacular. It looks like a pizza -- it even has 'black olives' on it(!)

Is it Neptune's moon Triton that has that 'chevron' feature on it? I like that, too.
