Lots of songs but my favorite trance song probably goes to Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes or any one of the many mixes of "Enjoy The Silence" which I believe is originally by Depeche Mode. Some of my favorite artists back in the day were Ferry Corsten, Gabriel and Dresden, and Paul Van Dyk.
I haven't listened to trance in many years though, so I'm pretty much out of the loop and don't remember a lot of what I used to listen to. If you want to talk about House and Drum and Bass now that's another story...

Orbital was a huge influence in trance. BT and Cygnus X, but I haven't listened to trance in years. Orbital is probably the most intellegently made trance for sure.
