Just keep doing what you are doing. Whatever you do, don't fall into it and retaliate. It will make your kid feel worse. Tell your child "Does it make you feel bad?" of course "you can just let it pass through and don't give it attention if it makes you feel bad" "It's because dad/mom is mad at me, it does not have anything to do with you.""it's not true, and one day when you grow up, I'll explain it to you""Don't worry about it anymore"

Don't say "oh yeah, well let me tell you what I think", "he/she said I'm WHAT?" Whatever your child repeat to you, don't react, focus on your child, not yourself. Ask them how they feel about, and focus on making them feel better. You are the adult here, take it like one.

Well I think the parents are old enough to know right from wrong and when it comes to the grand kids, the parents who should know better should act nice, just my thoughts here.

there's not much you can do. pray and let it go. pray for the healing of your ex.
pray for the well being of you kid. if you don't have custody you can't do much until they are about 15.
