See i'm that kind of person because i believe that too much emotion is a sign of weakness so my emotions are like a bottle of soda. If you shake it up,(i feel a certain way) , you let out little air or carbon at a time. And it doesen't explode.

i ALSO know that i'm not a man, alien, zombie, cold hearted, or anything
all i trhink is that i (at a young age cuz i still am young) developed trust issues so....

Someone else used the word japanese. Interestingly enough the japanese have a saying that goes something like 'he who raises his voice first looses the fight. I think the most important thing to take away is that just because you do not show emotions does not mean you do not have them. hopefully you have at least one person in your life that you feel safe sharing your emotions with.also if you cannot be honest with yourself about your emotion that can be unhealthy I think. an example would be indulging in addictive behavior in order to avoid dealing with feelings.

nicely, the term that we use in nursing for somebody who would not somewhat coach any emotion is "flat impression" considering individual fails to particular his genuine emotion. Suppressing it in different words. =) exhibiting something greater effective than that of a unfavorable emotion.

People who don't show their feelings have many names: stoic, deadpan, inexpressive, Japanese. Don't get too caught up in your "bottle of pop" paradigm though. Various inexpressive people are perfectly healthy. In fact, the inappropriate expression of emotion can often be a form of acting out.

it's called over-controlled and one day the soda bottle in your example will explode. i just hope i'm not in the vicinity when it does.
