A car, on a straight road, is stopped at a traffic light. When the light turns to green the car accelerates with a constant acceleration. It reaches a speed of 24.7 m/s (88.9 km/h) in a distance of 141 m. Calculate the acceleration of the car.

v(t)=a*t
s(t)=.5*v(t)*t
using the givens
141=.5*24.7*t
t=11.417

24.7=a*11.417
a=2.16 m/s^2
