Yep, I did it too. It's okay.
You might want to check the levels of Folic acid that is in them, and make sure it is adequate - ask your doctor about that if you haven't already.
You should be getting 0.4 mg a day.
Good luck!

It's the last ditch effort for vitamins. If you cannot tolerate any other prenatals, many OBs say to take 2 Flintstones. Not as good as prenatals, but hey, you gotta go with what works.

My physician told me the same thing but they say its better to take the prenatals because it has all the vitamins the baby needs. But if you r taking a flinestone you have to take supplement pills for what the flinestone does not contain. So try to find some pills that are smaller. I know it is very important to have iron & calcium & folic acid in your diet. Good luck!!

As long as there is folic acid in the Flinstones, and no large amounts of Vitamin A (large amounts of Vitamin A can be responsible for birth defects), they'd be just fine. The folic acid is the most important component of prenatal vitamins, as it is known to prevent neural tube defects.
Good luck.

Yep. I found small prenatal vitamins at Walmart also. You take two small pills instead of one large one(each is about the size of a tylenol). It works for me.

I was told the same thing with each pregnancy.... except with this one, I haven't been getting all the vitamins my body needs, so she told me to take 3 a day.... 4 of my fingernails curved down at an extreme angle, and my doctor thinks it's a vitamin deficiency, so she upped my dosage. Anyway, it's perfectly normal.

My daughter took Flintstones because she has an blood disorder which makes iron injested by pills either worthless or fatal. Flintstones make a vitamin that has no iron so that is what she took!
