the placenta does move as you grow larger...so that is really good for you that it is gone! its normal...good luck and congrats.

I had placenta previa diagnosed early in three of my four pregnancies that "drew up" or as the uterus expanded it was drawn away from the actual cervical opening. I still had low lying placenta - but I was at much less risk and was able to deliver vaginally.

My fourth pregnancy I had a partial previa and they were pretty sure that I was safe - but induced in a controlled setting. I abrupted 20 minutes into the induction, began to hemorrhage, and was taken for an emergency C-section. (Baby and I are both fine.)

So that being said -- it is possible for the placenta to have been pulled back away from the cervix, but you still need to be careful and I am sure that your doctors are going to be very watchful during the delivery process.

In most cases, the uterus enlarges and the placenta's position moves from over the cervix somewhere else. If you still had it at 35 weeks, well, that would be a problem. Congratulations! Much better not to have a previa!

Nope, the same thing happened to me. Just count it as a blessing that it did go away! I was diagnosed at my 14 week ultrasound, it was still there at 20 weeks and at 24 weeks, but it moved miraculously.
