For me it's these:
1. You can't wear light colored unmentionables under a white dress.

2. You shouldn't chance running a red light.

3. As much as I still hate to admit my mother was always right

Don't touch things, when someone tells you not to. I learned that at the young age of five, when my dad told me not to touch the iron (that was plugged in and quite hot), but I asked "why?" and touched it it anyhow. I was a very stubborn child, lmao.

Don't chance speeding even if you're in the middle of no where and there is not a person in sight. Gotta love paying a ticket.

It took me quite a while to learn this one when I was a teenager..even if they are wrong, don't bother arguing with your parents, they will always win, you will always lose.

Do better, when given a second chance, at whatever it may be.

Too much whiskey, plus Chinese food, does not mix..ever.

You'll never lose a pair of cheap sunglasses, but as soon as you buy that rather pricey pair, you will lose them.

Those stilettos pumps you love so much, still aren't worth it even at 50% off, because in the end you'll rarely wear them since they kill your feet.

I find anything I had to learn the 'hard way' is something that came as a major life lesson for me.

1. My first impression of someone is generally correct.
2. If you act really nice and spend all of your time going out of your way to help others, you WILL get **** on and misused. (Not saying don't help others, just saying be assertive, know when to say 'no' and let them know you won't be a floor-mat.)
3. The longer your procrastinate, the less likely it is to get done.

Creditors don't forget you owe them money
Neither does the government
People can love each other and still be unfaithful
Just because you love someone doesn't mean they are right for you
If you take care of something, it lasts longer
Don't loan money you can't afford to lose
Don't mess around behind the wheel of a car
never screw over a friend
Don't share deep dark secrets
never let your car insurance lapse (i got to see my brother make that mistake so I never will)

Never put your trust in man, you'll get hurt every time.

Don't try to pay anyone back for the wrongs they've done to you. Let God handle it.

Do unto to other as you would have them do unto you.

These are all biblical however, I learned from each one of them.

Never wear anything super short or low cut when I'm drinking; and, yeah, my mother is always right too. I hate that!

I agree with all the above. I learnt the really hard way that you can't even trust at times those who you think are the most trusted.
