Here's the deal; it is possible for Wonder Woman to defeat Superman. How? Superman is vulnerable not only to green and red kryptonite, but he is vulnerable to...magic. Wonder Woman, is, essentially, a being of magic, as she was formed from magical clay. Wonder Woman also has weapons besides the magic lasso and bracelets, and tiara. She has a magic sword and shield, but she uses these only when necessary. Wonder Woman would have a hard time against Superman, though. She would have to capture Superman with her lasso, and while Wonder Woman has super speed and strength and flight, Superman has the offensive biological weapons of laser heat rays from his eyes and cold breath, enabling him to keep Wonder Woman at a distance. Still, if Wonder Woman were to get close enough to cut Superman with her sword--it's game over for Superman. Check out the graphic novel Kingdom Come. It has a scene where Wonder Woman and Superman are talking, and Superman holds her sword, not remembering it can cut him. The next scene shows Superman's hand bleeding from the cut caused by Wonder Woman's sword. It is possible for Wonder Woman to defeat Superman without Kryptonite, she would have to use her magic weapons of the lasso, sword, shield, etc. Superman would win about 8 times out of 10, in my opinion, if battles were to happen.

It is possible and has been done before. When superman was controlled by max lord, wonder woman was able to defeat him or at least thrash him out till she has enough time time to kill max lord. Plus, wonderwoman is the best melee fighter in the JLA, that is to say she fights by fishing a lot of damage while taking minimal in return. Superman as we all know is a tank, he'd take all the damage that an opponent can give while trying to dish it out as well. WW can take advantage of this facts, plus the magical weaponries in her arsenal gives her some edge.
That being said, it is also more likely that Superman beat wonderwoman, if he gives out his all. The main thing that hinfers him is the fact that he doesn't want to kill anyone he fights, so he doesn't put out all that he could actually can. In a well drawn out battle, superman would assuredly win but when it comes to tactical and quick fight, wonderwoman would probably emerge the winner.

ummm...no. wonder woman can still be crushed, superman can't, wonder woman can be dropped from the sky (she does not fly) and superman can, wonder woman needs those bracelets to deflect bullets which means her skin is penetrateble, superman has bullets bouncing off his eye... so i pretty sure he can whup her butt.

She can only hinder or imprison him. She can trick him into the Phantom Zone or connive with Mister Mxyzptlk not to speak his name backwards, but she can't kill him.
