Doctors made house calls...and they had those black cases. I use to run under the bed. becasue it was always to give me a shot!!!!!

Our doctor came when I was sick at least 3 times a week and each time I knew that I was going to get a shot. I miss those house calls and the individual attention.

Nope they must have quit doing that before I was born!! I never recall a doctor coming to my house for an appointment!!!

I remember a couple of house calls when I was little (1990), because I was very sick for a couple of months. I think even at that point, though, it was highly unusual.

Awe man, I wish they would still do that.
Then my lazy a** wouldn't have to get ready when I'm sick,
step out into the cold and get more sick, just so I can sit for an hour with other SICK people who are gonna get me even more sick by the end of my all day visit. lol

I heard in some parts of Europe they still have a lot of house-call doctors. ..."I heard," god I sound naive. :) lol
But no, not old enough to remember that. I feel like I missed a lot of "it's the new thing!" events.

I even remember having the milk man deliver daily.....diaper services, and dry cleaners that came to the house, too.....
