Will memory ram pc2700 and Pc3200 work in my computer?

I have a Dell Gx270 Pentium 4 2.6Ghz.
I currently have 512mb ram of Pc2700 and i want to buy a 1gb ram that is Pc3200 because i found a good deal.

Will my computer recognize both memories if i combine them in my computer? For a total of 1.5gb ram or it will only recognize one of them.

It will recognize/work well regardless but at the slower rated speed.

Probably, but the faster of the two will slow down to the speed of the slowest ram that is installed.
