Moments that make you want to applaud or cry?

-When Arwen is riding to leave Middle Earth and she has the vision of Aragorn and her son (her son is wearing her necklace) and she realizes she can't leave him
-When Pippin is singing and Faramir and the men of Gondor are riding back to Osgiliath and get killed
-When the battle is getting so bad in Gondor that they are losing hope. Then you hear the horns of Rohan with Theoden and his men.
-Theoden's speech right after that part
-Of course, when the ring is destroyed
-When Frodo wakes up and sees all the members of the Order
-When all is well and Aragorn is crowned king of Gondor. Then he sees everyone and then sees Arwen with Elrond
-And my husband's personal favorite. In the extended version when Aragorn, Gandalf, Merry, Pippin, Legolas, and Gimli are at the Black Gates and the "mouth of Sauron" comes out and has Frodo's Mithril armor. He shows it to them and says he is already dead. Then Aragorn cuts his head off
-And I ALWAYS cry when Frodo and Gandalf leave Middle Earth. That part with him hugging everyone goodbye (especially Sam) makes me cry.
-A GREAT applaude one would be when Eowyn kills the Witch King. Right when he says "You fool! No man can kill me" And she takes off her helmet and says "I am no man!" and stabs him!
-Another applaude one would be when Legolas single-handedly takes out the elephant with all of the men on it!

- Aragorn's speech to the assembled armies in front of the Black Gate
- Pippin singing while Denethor eats and the battle rages on outside
- Frodo waking up in Minas Tirith and finding all of the other members of the Fellowship in the room
Another nice touch was when the credits rolled at the end, with the actors' names appearing with pencil sketches of their characters.
EDIT: And when the thumbs-down troll was tossed down the throat of Mount Doom along with Gollum and the Ring. :-)

Was the battle scene with Pippin singing in that or The Two Towers? That scene was masterfully done. Very emotionally evocative.
