He was a pioneer back in the day. Now he is just senile, and destroying all of the good things that he did.

Al Davis is...well, he needs to give it up, seriously.
The Rooney's are definately the best. The Steelers almost never have a BAD season. Even the top teams in the league today (Pats, Colts, Cowboys, Packers, Giants) have had seasons where you couldn't watch them, they were so bad.
The Steelers have been the most consistent team in the NFL's history and its because of their organization's atmosphere. They dont conform to league parody, they stick with athletes and coaches until they figure it out (Cowher, Kordell Stewart, who by the way had 4 different off coordinators while with them, no wonder he didn't win a Super Bowl), and they lobbied for minority coaching candidates.

Are you as crazy as him? Was he a great owner? Yeah to his end. I mean had to be good to be the Commissioner of the AFL before the merger. I don't think he got over not getting to be the NFL Commissioner though. I think that is what the real feud with the NFL was about.

The short answer is NO, the longer answer is he has been at odds with the NFL in many lawsuits. He is well respected by many, and hated by more and feared by none. Madden loves him, I think he is a mean spirited fool. Why not ask Marcus Allen what he thinks of Al?

No. That honor would go to the late, great Lamar Hunt. Without him there would be no NFL, no Superbowl and professional football as we now know it would not exist.

No, Chuck Norris is.
The 1972 Miami Dolphins lost one game, it was an exhibition game vs. Chuck Norris and three seven year old girls. Chuck Norris won with a roundhouse-kick to the face in overtime.

He's certainly one of the most animated, charismatic, and infamous owners I've seen. He and Jerry Jones crack me up! They are always on somebody's TV camera!!

He was back in the hay days, but now he is to proud to let someone else to take over and help a failing franchise. Silver and Black til death. Once you go Silver and Black you never go back.
