I dunno, but I nearly crapped myself that time a fat guy turned into a group of nuns.

I really think they are oblivious to the whole process.
Now, when I was living in the Republic of Panama a real cute thing happened at the airport. I was walking into it and there was an old Panamanian absolutely mesmerized by the escalator. She kept on walking up to it and putting her feet on it and moving back down and she had the most adorable look of wonder on her face.

When I was a kid the ones with the outside door that would close then the inside had like a metal gate that you also had to close. I hated those. I also did not like freight elevators, I also used to have weird dreams about elevators.

Interesting. My question when I was a teenager was how come the Otis Elevator Company in Los Angeles was a one storey building. We could see the building along side the freeway and that always intrigued me. Of course this was back in the 1950's.

My 22 month old loves to go into elevators for one reason: She loves to say the numbers as the floors change. "3-2-1!"
However, she hates to see strange people smushed all around her in the elevator. She gives everyone scowls, because she doesn't understand why everyone showed up.

I must admit, I've never thought of that. The Grand kids are so savvy these days... my 10 year old Grandson can fix my computer problems when I can't figure it out!!

I think children figure things out pretty fast. Probably much faster than adults.
