Major in Photography and French and have a Minor in Fine Arts? One of my friends told me I would have to Major in Fine Arts because there is so much in the curriculum for it, is that true? I'm 22, started working right out of high school, so I know VERY little about college.

When I was in college, any program from where you took and passed 5 courses could be declared as a minor - so that may be possible - depending on what type of college you go to.
If you're going to a regular 4 year as opposed to a vocational art school, chances are that the Fine Arts program will be the larger program. You can do a double major in French and Fine Arts -with a strong concentration in Photography.

Usually double majors are in related subjects such as math and physics. There is no reason why you couldn't major in fine arts with an emphasis in photo and a minor in French. Fine arts majors do have a load of classes to take. See the academic advisor at the school you're going to attend. He/she would know all the details.

Depends on the college, or the place your looking for, also you can combine 2 majors, but in that case sometimes is a little longer. Search for the college and look at their curriculum.

you could try, it would be very stressfull. but still very possible,

most people say that if you double major, and/or minor, it should be related to what you want to do....however its not a requirement

one of my friends is geting a medicine degree, but minoring in pyschology. theres no requirement as to what you want to take. just as long as you pass the classes

Talk to an advisor. Not a friend. She may be jealous and not want you to achieve. I'd say that's false. Good luck!! NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT!!
