It depends on what kind of medication it is. Some drugs can cause serious birth defects if taken while pregnant. Take a pregnancy test and go from there.

Becoming pregnant is not a crime.
Whenever in doubt, tell your doctor you would like a pregnancy test before taking this medication, because you want to rule out the possibility of pregnancy. If you were unaware that the medication couldn't be taken while pregnant until you picked it up at the pharmacy, pick up an at home pregnancy test. It is always better to be safe than sorry, and there is absolutley nothing to be ashamed about.

On the brighter side, stress, worry, and being sick all play a toll on your menstrual cycle. These could be factors to why you are 4 days late.

To take off some of the stress, I recommend getting a pregnancy test and speaking with your doctor, you won't be sorry you did!
Take care of yourself!

Some medicines can cause birth defects and some could cause a miscarriage. If you really think you are pregnant, take a pregnancy test.

Go to rxlist.com and look up the medication you took. It should have information there about possible problems related to pregnancy.
