Do you an external hard drive.

Put files on external drive and copy from there.

particular, you're able to try this countless tactics: at the start you may burn the data to a CD (i'm guessing your songs laptop has a CD burner). Secondly you need to use a memory stick gazing the record sizes your handling. Thirdly in case you have a house community you may positioned each and every of the data onto the shared community and only drag and drop onto your sons new laptop. those are the three common techniques to do it, failing this you may get application and connection leads which will do an automatic flow for you.

You should ensure that the workgroup name is the same on both PC's
Then you should ensure that (at least on 1 PC) sharing is set so that you can see that PC from the other.

You may have to reboot BOTH PC's after you do this.
I hope this helps.

if you are unable to do file sharing between the two computers you can always use an external harddrive to transfer files.
