I don't know much about video game systems but I want to buy my husband a xbox but I dont know what is included

There are 2 real differences between the elite and the premium. The elite is black and come with a 120 GB hard drive. The premium is white and comes with a 20 GB hard drive.
For playing most games, you don't need much in the way of hard drive space. The 20GB is plenty of room for downloadig demos and game updates. If you plan to download a lot of games/tv shows/movies over xbox live, or if you just have to have it in black, go with the elite. Otherwise, you should save the money and get a premium.
Stay away from the Core and Arcade models. It's worth it to spend the extra for the premium to get the hard drive and wireless controller.

it also depends on the output that you want however now the xbox premiums are coming out with hdmi output whereas the elite are only hdmi, you can still find cords to fix this problem but now the only main differences of which there are only 3 the color of the system, the control, and the hard drive, other than that everything is roughly the exact same, and just so you know if you buy the premium then it is possible to buy the new bigger hard drive and transfer all of the files on it once

the elite is better because it's black and has 120gb of memory but its $450 (not including tax) but the premium has i think 12-20gb of memory is white bute you could always attach a faceplate and put on a skin and it's $350 (not including tax) with both systems you get 1 wirless controller. I have a premium xbox 360 with a halo 3 faceplate and i'm perfectly happy with =) in my opinion the only good thing about the elite is that it's black, well i hope my review helps!

I bought the 360 elite due to the extra space on the hard drive. I use it for a media center. It holds all of my CD's and lots of movies too. Plus, it's black.... :)
