In the world war 1, How did the soldiers find thier way around the trench system?!

They would set up posts(soldiers) along the trenches to guard them and help other waves of soldiers find their way around. Hope this helps.

i knoe there were 4 trench systems but i think they had to know it already or the messenger/ runner told them... im not sure im just guessing...

Many times they just had to remember things. They stayed with or in certain areas of their units.

War is chaos, in many cases. They just did what they could, but that didn't always make a difference.
