Woah, the triangle screws are there for a reason. They are otherwise know as tamper-proof screws, i.e. your not supposed to open it up. By doing so you'll invalidate any guarantee or warranty on the product. It's best to send electricals off for repair.

You can get tamper-proof screw sets from Maplin or RS and can order online.

There are various shapes of security screws designed to stop people opening the case of electrical equipment. Maplin's do a screwdriver set with everything in it.

These bits are called security bits and usually only run a few dollars. You can find them at most electronic repair supply houses or online. I did a search and found several stores that carry these bits.... this is one of them. Good luck!!! http://www.newelectronx.com/products.php?cat=31

Not too sure, but it's definately not a Phillips, for a Phillips has 4 protruding points.

It's one of the many types of "tamper-proof" screwdrivers. The manufacturer doesn't want you to get inside the unit, that's why they do that. Take the unit to an industrial tool supply store, they may have what you need.

Hey

I would suggest you dig your hands in your pocket and pay the extra few £'s as two very apt sayings come to mind : ''short cuts are the longest way round''. '' You saved a penny and lost a pound''
All to often we think the cheapest way to fix something we know little about is to do it ourselves.
My question in that respect is what does past experiences tell you.

Sorry to sound rude, but just my opinion.

Take care and good luck with it.
