Sims 2 expansion?

Im about to get the Sims2. First of all, is it fun? and second,what expansion should I get?

It's fun if you have a good imagination. There's no set of goals, so if you're a more goal-oriented player (reaching a certain level), you're going to get bored with it.

Nightlife is a must, but if you buy the Sims 2 Deluxe edition, you'll get that expansion pack with it. I'd say Seasons; it makes the game more realistic, adds more interactions, and is a ton of fun. Make sure your computer can handle it first!

Sims 2 is very fun and entertaining. You can spend hours shaping your sims life's. Build them houses, get them jobs, have kids, make friends... it's endless.

I have all the expansion packs except Open for Buisness. Seasons is the best, it really makes the game more realistic. Bon Voyage is another good one. It allows you to plan and take vacations; it also has a vacation "check list" of things for each sim to do. Pets is also fun, but doesn't add that much to the game.
