No. "Peace at any cost;" "Peace Now;" etc are leftist. "Peace on Earth" is a statement of mysticism that also fits neatly into existential morality so that even an atheist can grasp and use it, without necessarily having to admit that the concept is existentially impossible.

If you believe the extremists, the left is all about peace and the right is all about war. The left is all about nanny states and the right is all about personal freedom. The left will sacrifice their own children to save rain forests and the right wants to bring about a corporate state.

Really, the main difference between left and right is that the left represents the idea of social equality while the right represents the idea of there being a social pecking order of sorts. It has little to do with war and peace.

I don't think so. I also think that those pushing for Armageddon also want peace on earth (in their own fashion).

Peace to you also.

No everyone wants peace. There is nothing wrong for desiring it or working for it. In the end it's best to have peace in your heart.

I think it's kind of a closed-minded thing to say Peace "on Earth." I mean, what about inter-galactic peace? What about peace on Jupiter? Or Uranus?

Of course not. Who wants anything but peace - where the left and right differ is how to achieve that peace.

Hardly. Where the various groups differ is what constitutes 'peace' and on whose terms that peace is established.
