First...congratulations! Breathe, it'll be fine.

The more you interview in life, the easier it gets, (but is always a little nerve wracking!)

What to wear, you know...girl, a pair of nice black pants is ALWAYS good to have. You never know when you will need to look put together. Great for a date, holidays, for an interview, or meeting parents. That said, so is a nice pair of brown or Grey pants, the point is not jeans, and not too tight.

I'd wear nice pants, closed shoes or boots with a moderate to small heel, and a button down shirt, like a tailored oxford or a nice sweater. Put on some conservative earrings or a small necklace, a little makeup and wear your hair neatly.

Wear something you would perhaps wear to a religious institution, or to meeting your significant others parents for the first time.

You don't have to wear a suit if you are interviewing for a cashier position...just look nice, be positive and most of all, punctual!

For references, (since this is your first job), you could perhaps ask a teacher or pastor. Have you babysat before? Ask the parents of the child for a reference. You just want someone to vouch for you that you are reliable, intelligent mature and capable of being there and performing your duties.

They will probably ask about previous jobs, ( you can talk about babysitting if you have done it...or something where you had responsibility), why you want to work there, what your schedule is like, what you want to do in the future, (if you are going to college, etc.) Basically, they want to know how reliable you are and how long you will work for them.

You will have to fill out a form listing past employers and schooling if you haven't already. If you speak more than one language, tell them! This is a plus! They are also going to want to know how you are getting to and from work, so work that out if you don't have a car. Explain how easy it will be for you to get there on time.

That is about it, it should take anywhere from 15 mins. to an hour.

One more thing, always ask a few questions...do your research on the company, butter them up so to speak. It makes you look like you are interested. For example, if you are going to be a cashier for say, Wal-Mart, you can ask what your responsibilities are, what your work day is like? What is an ideal employee like? What training will I receive? What are my opportunities for advancement, etc.

Make eye contact, be positive, listen to them and try to relax and go with the flow. Good luck! You'll be fine!

Typically now days, when you go to an interview, you should dress according to the job you are interviewing for. Meaning if you are applying for a job at a factory, wear clean jeans and a nice shirt, with workshoes. If you're interviewing for a casual work environment, wear a nice pair of khakis and a nice shirt, with a pair of casual shoes. If you're interviewing for a business where dress suits reign, then wear a business suit, with a pair of business dress shoes. DRESS FOR THE PART YOU HOPE TO PLAY IN THE BUSINESS.
Shoes should always be clean and polished. Make sure whatever you wear is clean, neat and pressed. Don't wear allot of makeup or gobs of jewelry.
If you're not sure how the people at this job dress, wear your best clothes you have. Once you get the job, they'll explain what they expect you to wear everyday.
How I explained it at the top, is what I've read and been taught. However, I was the HR person at the last bank I worked at and I interviewed people in suits and in jeans. I've even walked into a business just to drop off a resume and ended up doing an interview on the spot wearing an old raggy Tshirt and jeans and still got the job.
What's really important is the professional attitude and knowledge base you present to the interviewer, impressing upon them your ability to do the job and your determination to take the job seriously in the duties you perform, your attendance, and whether you intend to stay for a length of time at this job.

It's good to have professional and personal references handy. Most businesses will want to speak with your prior supervisors or someone who can attest to your work ethics.

Good luck. Don't stress out too much about clothes.

You need to wear something nice but you don't need to wear a suit by any means. Khakis or black pants and a button up shirt. For Kohls, it would be good to wear something nice that looks like you could purchase at the store. Just some tips: 1. Make sure you iron your shirt and pants 2. Pull your hair away from your face. If you have long bangs, pin them back. If you have long hair in general, you might pull it up or at least halfway back. 3. Wear close-toed shoes. 4. No boobs or tummy showing. Hope this helps!

First of all, stay calm. I think you should wear black pants and a nice blouse, like a pretty button down, or a nice sweater. Stay away from red though, because red symbolizes intimidation. Your best bet is wear "dress-casual" clothes - something a little dressy, but something you are semi-comfortable in. Definitely try to prepare youself for your interview. Make a list of your strengths, weaknesses, your skills. They are probably going to ask you why you want the job and why the should hire you. Don't be afraid to ask questions - this shows that you are interested in the job! Good Luck :)

Black Pants, white or grey button down collared shirt, Black shoes (the smaller the heel the better) no flashy jewelry and just smile and be honest. You'll get the job. Don't think they need references, but bring some just in case. Best of luck!!

I recommend wearing something conservative, maybe jeans and a nice top since you are applying to be a cashier. They will ask you basic questions to make sure they can depend on you being to work on time, when you are supposed to, and that they can trust you (to some extent). Be calm, listen closely to their questions, and speak clearly as you answer. Good luck!

I would go and get some black pants NOW. They are classic, so you'll keep them for years anyway. On top, wear a button-down shirt. If the store is posh, perhaps also a jacket or cardigan with the blouse. Make sure your hair is tidy, your makeup is classic and NOT overdone, and remember to breathe! Good luck!

Dress in a professional manner. It would pay off to invest in an outfit to wear to job interviews, even if you don't get this job you can wear it to succeeding job interviews. Have someone you have known for a few years write you a reference, take the prior job history with you and a contacts list. good luck

Be confident, as long as you dress nice then you should have no worries. No low cut blouses, short skirts, etc. Its not going to be as bad as you think. Answer questions honestly and clearly and you will be fine. I hope you get the job! Good Luck! Hope I helped!

Love
