Does an engineer from the ISP need to set it up?

I've always done it myself. In internet explorer, you can go to Tools - Internet Options - Connections - and follow the instructions for LAN. It takes about 5 mins tops.

Nope...I got the kit from my new provider, and with their instructions, smooth as silk, easy as pie, about 15 minutes (including unpacking their "human-proof" packaging)! Got'er done! No problem whatsoever. And I'm no geek at all at all believe you me. I just know the difference between a cable and a hole.

Verizon DSL, sent me everything I needed...did it all myself and I was computer illiterate!
