your sub consience controls your habits!

so you want to start new habits and break old ones you have to take yourself out of your comfort zone!

It might be more helpful to let your right brain take over than your subconscious. Your subconscious may supply you with ideas and imagery, but it's the visual-spatial skills in the right brain that will help you draw better. Don't focus on language- but seeing.

If you're after subconscious imagery, keep a dream journal and write in it each morning. This may supply you with ideas for your images.

LSD and other hallucinogens are good for unlocking the unconscious- but you might not make the best drawings while tripping. Perhaps days or weeks later you can use some memories of your experiences.

I always find that I'm a bit more relaxed and focused for drawing the day after I smoke a little pot. Of course, too much pot could interfere with concentration as well.

Don't worry re your English! I took a drawing class once at the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, KS, from Bob Ault--the art therapist there.. He somehow taught us to focus our mind totally upon the object we are drawing--the lines, the surfaces, the details....it REALLY WORKED for me! Came out with some beautiful stuff! For others, it was difficult for them to keep their thinking from interfering, however. It's a kind of meditation, I think, and gives the mind a great "rest"! Judgement, critical thinking, embarasement sp? were all abscent and was so restful! Hope the best for you.
