How is DeJesus defensive skills

The Braves would'nt trade away an excellent pitcher so they probably know something we don't. I've seen James pitch and he is solid but nothing extraordinary. DeJesus is a solid guy though. The type of guy who suppossedly has a good attitude and who is getting better. This seems like a pretty good trade for both.

I don't really like it from the Braves perspective. I think James could be a better-than-average pitcher for several years, and would fit well in the #4 or #5 spot for the Braves.

Dejesus is a 27-year-old who's never hit 10 homers in a season, and whose slugging percentage took a serious nosedive as soon as he became an everyday player. He still gets on base at a decent clip, but I don't know how much of an impact he'd have on that Braves lineup.

I guess it's not as bad as I first thought, especially since the Braves will need a CF when Andruw is gone. Still, it seems like James should bring slightly more in return.

Defensively? I think Dejesus is pretty good, and his numbers put him in the top half of centerfielders defensively. I personally feel like Andruw might have lost a step or two in the last few years, but he just makes everything look smooth. Dejesus might not be as smooth, but I think Braves fans would be happy with him out there.

It actually makes sense. That's a good deal for both sides. The Braves are cheap, and DeJesus would provide adequate defense and a top-of-the-order bat, and Chuck James would give the Royals much needed pitching. I think it favors the Royals more, but if the Braves are comfortable with their pitching and can replace James, then why not?

Horrible trade.

James is a solid starter. I don't think he'll ever be an ace, but he is reliable and should be a guy to start at the back end of the rotation for years to come.

DeJesus, could be an alright outfielder, and they do have the need to replace Jones, but the problem is that DeJesus and Harris (the player currently projected to play CF for Atlanta next season) are basically the same person.

Well Chuck James is average at best. Yes he did show signs of greatness, but those quickly diminished.

Dejesus on the other hand is a pretty good CF and a good enough bat in the lineup.

And besides we got Glavine back and I don't think it would hurt to much to get rid of James.

Did this happen? I don't think its a good idea Chuck James is a young power pitcher with potential.

I think it's a fair trade. Both are fairly young with a good upside.
