great question!
i love to see the neocons out here saying that bush has never said that iraq had anything to do with 9/11.
bush frequently links the attacks on 9/11 to the war in iraq - and ever time he does so - he is deceiving the nation about why we are in iraq.
i have seen polls that illustrate that as many as 30% of americans STILL believe that iraq was behind 9/11.
and the insane cons STILL will fall back on how we were attacked on 9/11 when the rationale for the iraq war ($12 billion a month) is questioned.
and you will also hear on an almost daily basis how the insane cons regard those of us who think that iraq represents a gigantic con job to the american people as 'wanting to retreat in the war on terror.'
we want no such thing - we WANT TO GET ON WITH THE WAR ON TERROR - WHICH HAS NOTHING WHATEVER TO DO WITH IRAQ!

At the beginning of the Iraq War, every poll said 60+% thought Saddam was involved in 9/11. Where do you think they got that idea? BTW Fox viewers wer over 80%.

People, and this includes many of you denying it now, say we are in Iraq to avenge 9/11.
Bush officials said and are still saying Saddam met with Al Qaeda before 9/11 to help out.
Wolfowitz published articles saying Saddam was responsible for 9/11 and the Oklahoma City bombing.
Cheney still occasionally says "no one has proved he wasn't involved."

When the American soldiers first went into Baghdad, I saw in the newspaper a mural of 9/11 on the inside of one of the buildings the soldiers were entering. But honestly, I don't know. After all, the United States did put Saddam Hussein into power when we needed to use Iraq to defeat Iran. Our Puppet, the Shah of Iran, had just gotten booted out of Iran by the Ayatollah Khomeini. Then we are told Saddam was torturing people.
Granny kinda knows.

I don't believe the general public believes Iraq ever had anything to do with 9-11. It was well established that Sadam wouldn't let Bin Laden into his country because he didn't want him grabbing for power. Sadam wouldn't host Bin Laden for that reason alone. The president never asserted that Iraq had something to do with 9-11.
However Sadam was a figure that needed to be toppled. He was an absolute Anti-Social power man that killed any person that muttered a word against even an idea he had. And sometimes whole peoples for the utterance of one man.
Regardless of why we went (WMD) it was the right thing to do-removing that man.

an argument that Iraq had something to do with 9/11 was never made!
Iraq had and used chemical weapons. They refused for years to allow UN inspectors access to facilities.
Our intelligence department know that Russian trucks transported weapons to Syria. We have not gone after Syria because we want to keep peace with Russia.
You can give all the thumbs down you like. And keep posting these same asinine statements about Iraq and 9/11.

Not directly and never thought.
They were part of the mind set that was out to kill us.
Let me remind the explosive expert from the bombing of WTC fled to Iraq.
Those who did 9/11 are not the only ones who are out to kill us.
I figure you catch on when we learn how Iran is supplying weapons to the terrorist in Iraq.
Or the Marid bombing.
