Sure. With their low standards it will allow them to sign some really good athletes/thugs that no other school would touch.

Yes, Give Randy Shannon time to clean up the mess Larry Coker left behind. The instate talent that used to flow to Miami and FSU seems to have gone to UF or out of state all together. There is a lot of history and tradition at Miami and not all of it in the far past. It was only a couple of seasons ago Miami was a Juggernaut, a 39 game regular season win streak, a national title, etc. So there is a great foundation for Shannon to build upon. Although I never thought I would see the day when Nebraska, Miami, FSU, and Notre Dame would all suck at the same time.

They may, they may not though. Nationally they do not have the greatest of reputations and have had a lot of criminal issues surrounding the program. They do not have a big name coach but they play in a talent rich area and despite the thuggery, they do have a winning reputation. The ACC is not all that strong either with FSU being down and BC being overrated so with a few strong recruiting classes and the parody in college football today, they could easily be a top 10 program again in a couple years.

I thought they had done it already early in the year, but that last stretch of four games has me rethinking that idea. I believe they'll be back, but they just need to pick up the recruiting. Players used to seek out Miami, but that seems to have almost completely disappeared. The coaching staff needs to get aggressive in their recruiting, and bring in some more of that local talent.

I think Shannon did a decent job this season, especially considering that offense has been running without a decent QB for a few years. Still, the swagger won't be back until the talent is there to match it.

Yeah I believe so as they recruit in a hotbed area in their own state and have a lot to offer student athletes. They have a new coach right now and it usually takes time to get a program going again after a new hiring. Plus they have a great football tradition and are just going through a down period.
