I've no virus/adware/spyware/etc.
(I've done all scans and used online scans/houecall/adaware/AVG) etc
I'll list what I found that looks *off* to me.
If it is could you please help me fix it? (2 problems?)

First:
Toolbar: (no name) - {327C2873-E90D-4c37-AA9D-10AC9BABA46C} - (no file)

Second:
HKUS\S-1-5-20\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\system32\CTFMON.EXE (User 'SERVIZIO DI RETE')
O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\system32\CTFMON.EXE (User 'SYSTEM')
O4 - HKUS\.DEFAULT\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\system32\CTFMON.EXE (User 'Default user')

My computer is still running WAY slow in the afternoon - and freezing up - huge lag in anything *interactive* (games/music/video).

THANK YOU! I'm living in a 3rd world area - with no computer help - and my life depends on this pc - so you're doin a great thing here helping and I thank you!

You need to have your HijackThis log checked out by a expert. You can run it through a online check at http://www.hijackthis.de/ . Now you should know what you are doing before deleting what it says you should. You can get more help by a expert at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/cleanup. You will have to follow their directions or you will not get much help. It requires you to download and run the suggested scans.

If I can help you in any way just contact me by email.

To simply turn off ctfmon.exe go to Control Panel>Regional and Language Options>Languages>Details>Advanced,
and check the box that says "Turn off advanced text services."

Use A System Cleaner : To Speed up your disk drive

CCleaner (Free) Just Download it ...
Nixes unused registry entries and old prefetch data , temporary files and other clutter along with Internet files .

Run the Disk Defrager , In WinXP : Speeds up Hard Disk

Get Spybot Search & Destroy - Will fix that tool bar deal
if it's a bad guy ...Update it and hit the immunise button :)
Will protect you from over 100,000 known bad guys

Bring up task manager program
Click the Processes Tab and look at the bottom
Find the Cpu Usage ...... If its being hogged up by some services .....you have a problem ... It should be 4% - 0 % Normally .. Bad Guys Hog up the Cpu cycles up to 100 % and that kills your computer , and really slows things down
Some bounce around 15% - 30 % but they are bad too
Not all bad guys show up in task manager , Trojans hide so you might want to scan for rootkits as well .....

If you have no virus or malware it could be registry errors. Try some Registry Repair Software. It worked for me.
