Start taking a prenatal vitamin with folic acid
Drink at least 1.5 L water a day
Have 4-5 servings of dairy a day
No alcohol, smoking, or medications except tylenol or advil. If you're already on meds for an existing medical condition, call your doctor back to make sure it's still safe to take.
Congrats and best of luck!

Make sure that you eat healthy. Do not drink alcohol, do drugs or smoke cigarettes. You are living for two now. You have to think about not only your health but the health of your child.
Get plenty of sleep, your body will be very tired because the baby is taking all of your energy to form. Make sure to take prenatal vitamins. Withdraw from any strenuous lifting but if you currently exercise(which I recommend) then you should continue your normal, every day activity.
Good luck with it, it is a hard 9 months, but it is sooooooo worth it to hold your baby in your arms.

light exercise, eating right, take prenatal vitamins (any kind from the pharmacy are fine), If you smoke,... then quit. And enjoy the fact that you are pregnant but not quite yet at the stage that you throw everything up, which means you'll be able to enjoy Christmas dinner. Careful not to fall though, it's December and if you live here you run the risk of falling in the snow or slipping on Ice.
Good Luck and Congratulations!

Call and try to move the appointment up. Otherwise...I don't know your age so I'll state the obvious...Do your very best to be and stay healthy. If you're not healthy do things to work toward it. NO cigs, alcohol, drugs (unless prescribed by a doctor who knows you're pregnant). Lot's of fruit, milk, and veggies. Mild exercise regularly. (daily). Get lots of rest EVERY day and night. Tell parents and family and friends of your condition. Mom will have plenty of advise (or should have,)

Congratulations. Eating sensibly (paying attention to all the basic food groups) is wise, as well as keeping yourself as stress-free and well-rested as possible. You're going to get more advice than you'll know what to do with very soon, so I won't start here and now. The doctor will recommend pre-natal vitamins for you, and outline any other regimen you should follow. In the meantime, just enjoy your happy news.,

Once you see the doctor he/she will write you a prescription for prenatal vitamins. In the meantime, you can find over the counter prenatal vitamins in your local pharmacy. Avoid lifting heavy things, eat well, drink lots of water and exercise moderately.
