with #1 I was underweight by 10lbs at 3months . by the time he was born i had gained 32lbs. But only 22 should be counted, since there was 10 of it i needed in the first place.

My next pregnanies #2 and #3 I gained not more than 15lbs. I lost it all soon after their births. This was easy because I weighed close to 100 lbs at the start of each pregnancy. It's harder to lose weight if your already over weight. I don't know your situation. It's important to gain at least 15-20lbs just to make sure the baby is getin enough to grow. Your not just hgrowing a 7-8lb baby, but the placenta and everything else has to grow to feed and acomidate him/her. You need to for your own nutrition as well. Sorry getting carried away...oh yeah, and i breastfed, which helped TONS.

I have 4 young children, each time with the girls (first 3) I weighed 155 pounds at the end, so that means 25 pounds with the first, 40 with the last 2 girls since I lost weight after my first daughter was born (she was a very hungry breastfeeder, drained both sides 10 times a day!). With my son I weighed 160 pounds at the end so that means I gained 45 pounds. Now he is 8 months old and I am back down to 115 pounds.

55 lbs!! I loved anything with butter!!! This was my 3rd pregnancy. The first 2 I only gained abut 40 lbs. It has taken a year to size back down almost to pre-pregnacy size. I don't recommend gaining that much, but I also don't think you should stress over weight either! Good luck and have a happy pregnancy:)

With my first I gained 16 pounds (10 of which I gained in a month of family festivities and food!)

With my second I gained 32 lbs. I consider it my grandma's buying habits! She buys any pastry on sale. And I ate any pastry that made it into the house. LOL. I lived with my mom and grandma during my second pregnancy because DH and I couldn't afford to move to where he was going to graduate school. At least not right off. I made the move after the birth.

I am the proud mother of two children and I gained nineteen with my first and twenty-one with my second. If you are asking to perhaps see how much weight is acceptable for you to gain, I wouldn't worry too much about it. That is, number one, something to be discussed and handled between you and your physician. And number two, it all depends on your stature, your age, your health, certain circumstances ... What may be perfectly acceptable for one mommy to gain may not be even close for another mommy to gain. If in deed you are pregnant and worried about your weight, don't sweat it. Enjoy your pregnancy and eat healthy. It will all be over before you know it and you might even miss it!

Take care of you.

OMG, I gained 47lbs! I went from 115lbs to 162lbs! But, the day after delivery I had already lost 22lbs! Most of it was the baby...but the other 25 was me! 6 years later and I still haven't been able to get back to that begining mark...the most I can go down to without looking sick is 125! But, I'm not worried about that right now obviously... :-)
