There are many suns and using "the" defines the one our Earth orbits round. The same goes for the moon. Other planets have moons and "the" defines the one orbiting our planet. Since Venus, Mars, Mercury, etc are one of a kind we don't need to differentiate between the ones in our solar system and planets in other systems.

I would say "Earth" most of the time. Jupiter is the name and the object is less singular appearing to us than the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. I would also say "Sol", but "the Sun", "Cynthia" but "the Moon" and "Gaia" but sometimes "the Earth."

I don't know about Earth, but there are many "sun"s and "moon"s out in the galaxy. Every star is a sun, saying "The Sun" is a way to distinguish that you mean our sun, Sol. And saying "The Moon" let's people know you are talking about Earth's one natural satellite, as opposed to, say, Jupiter's Europa.
Maybe, "The Earth" is to distinguish between Earth, the planet, and earth as in soil and dirt.

The sun, the moon or the earth are unique to us. They are the only object we have. We don't need to call them by another way. So, we just call them "The Sun (that special sun)", "The Moon (that special moon)" or "The Earth (that special earth)".
For example, if you have a TV set in your house, you will refer it to "the TV set". Likewise, if your family only have one car, it is referred to as "the car".
Do you call your TV or car by a name?

Sometimes, "The" is used in place of "Our". What we mean is Our Earth, Our Sun, Our Moon

In the book Spacetime Physics the authors deliberately leave off the "the" even when referring to Earth and Moon. And it sounds silly, just like it does in my first sentence.
If you referred to our moon as Luna you wouldn't say "the Luna" but if you use the term Moon I think you need to say "the Moon."
