Well Pit is overflowing.?

My well pump had quit, so my fiance installed a new one. Now, I can get water into the house, but after about 45 minutes the well pit is flooded and it kills the well pump. ANY ideas why it is flooding?

If it started flooding after he replaced the pump, there's probably a leak somewhere. He cracked a pipe, or didn't use pipe dope or teflon tape on some of the threads, maybe. When the pit is empty, run the pump until you can see where the water is coming from, and fix it.
