It depends on what you decide to do. If you break up, then no, I wouldn't buy him any gifts.
Although....I have a story for you. When I was 20 I was dating this adorable Sicilian guy who was 19. We had dated for 4 months but decided we were better friends then anything else...he still went out and bought me a Christmas angel - it was beautiful!! I didn't get him anything and I felt bad.
Do what your heart tells you.

Christmas is not about giving gifts to those we love, like, dislike or believe will be in our lives for a period of time. It's about sharing the spirit of Christmas, celebrating Christ's birth and sharing His love with people we know.
If you feel led to give him a gift or card, do so. There should be no strings attached and no expectations on your part. If you do it, do it from the heart and to celebrate the reason for the season.

This is probably not the time to make purchases. You can always purchase gifts after the fact if the two you decide to keep it together. For sure, you shouldn't get married under any circumstances to the guy----take this situation as a major red flag and don't underestimate it.

It's all up to you. If you do want to get him something give him something small as a friendship gift not a fiande type gift.

You could but try not to have it be expensive and try to make it something that is not personal at all. you don't want to look like you are desprate.
