could injure the baby, start labor, kill the baby if you fell in the right spot, cause the placenta to tear away from the uterine wall, causing you and aby to bled out and possibly die... a lot.. I sure hope you arent being punched in the back or pushed down any stairs... specially at 40 weeks pregnant...

Ummm...IF you had fallen down the stairs or been punched in the back I would think the FIRST THING you would do is go to the doctor! Any thing that could hurt you has the chance of hurting your baby. Personally I don't understand why you would ask this question...either you are 40 weeks pregnant and have had this happen/ or you are planning on doing it to someone else?

Hi. It can put u into labour and distress your baby. The baby will know your upset and may be either very restless or just be overly quiet. I doubt your baby will be under any harm but a little stressed. When you attend the funeral maybe dont view te body and if you do make sure tere a people there to support you. Drink lots of water thoughout the day which will help keep baby happy. I am very sorry to hear the sad news and stay strong. Although life has been taken you will be returing life to the world shortly. Dont let your baby stop u grieving but dont let your grief stop you from being happy about having a new baby. All the best

I have a friend who at 40 weeks was accidentally kicked in the stomach by her 6 yr old stepdaughter and withing a few hours the baby died because the kick separated her placenta from her uterus.
Go to the hospital, better safe than sorry and don't go home if you are being abused.

if someone punched you or you "fell" down the stairs I would go to the hospital then have them contact the police!!! NOW! You definitely could harm ur baby besides yourself.

You could be just fine, or could suffer serious injury from this (the mother and / or the baby). You should go straight to the ER or to your doctor's office if he can fit you in immediately. It is better in this case to check things out and find out that you're OK than it is to wait and see.

Anything that is traumatic to you is traumatic for the baby as well. Don't forget that the baby is totally dependent on you to take care of him/her and if you are in any way shape or form in danger then so is your child. Please please please take care of yourself................even if not for yourself then for at least the baby because the baby doesn't really have a choice at this point!
