I start out on my back, flip over onto my stomach, and when I wake up in the morning I'm usually on my back again.
hey, you look like you could be related to me ... are we cousins?

Right ... !
Its said -medically- is the best position ever !
The reason is cause your right side organs are eventually heavier than your left side organs in weight , So if you slept on your left side , your heart is crushed under their -organs- weight and it suffers a lot to complete its blood cycle , this decreases the number of blood cycles and you will wake a little dizzy and lazy !
on the other hand , if you slept on your right side , your heart can complete more blood cycles over the night .... As a result you will feel more active in the morning when you wake up !
And thats all !
Sleeping on your back holds -just little- your lungs from breathing freely -not your weight that counts , gravity counts-
Sleeping on your front is very dangerous as it crushes all your organs plus bending your spiral cord to - a totally - unlovely position .... You will get back aches if you slept on your stomach !
Sleeping on chairs give you neck aches -don't know why but it hurts alot - sleeping hanging can kill you as blood will rush to your brain and stick there !
Others : I don't know ... ^ ^'

I have a twin bed, so sleeping on any particular side would be difficult. However, I will say that I do sleep on the top half of my bed for the most part. It's strange, but I sleep in this frog-legged position; thus, I only cover half my bed. Lol
