regrettably as we become outdated we do lose our brief time era reminiscence. so we are able to bear in mind what got here approximately 50 years in the past yet neglect what day that's. that's between the downsides of residing longer. Your grandfather could be a sufferer of outdated age or he would have Alzheimer's or dementia. regardless of if that's between the latter 2 it is genetic, so your father in any different case you ought to fall sufferer to it. Your probability is far less as your genes have been mixed alongside with your mothers so there's a 50/50 probability you will no longer. you may cut back the possibility of reminiscence loss via making particular you retain physique and techniques lively. examine, do crosswords, techniques coaching even, watch information programmes, be taught something new, purely shop that techniques lively. Wishing your grandfather properly.

What a wonderful thing you are doing! I'm sure you will be a great parent. I of course couldn't ever be a dad/granddad. but I was a Mom/Grandma to my military daughter's child part of the time when she was growing up, she always said she had two moms. I loved every minute of it (well, almost every minute) and it made us really close. It certainly helped keep me young, just keeping up with her. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Blessed be!

If you are talking about raising a grandchild then you are in a tough situation. Granddad gets to play and spoil and listen. Dad has to discipline, teach, provide financial support. Different roles and hard to combine. God bless you for providing your love and doing the best you can for that grandchild.

Yes. I am in a way because my daughter died when my grandson was born. My son in-law is seeking medical problems. My wife and I are raising my grandson and also trying to be a grand parent. It difficult to do that as hard to draw the line between spoil and keeping him in line. All can do is give him guidance and quality time.

You are living proof! My dad was a dad and granddad at the same time too. What a wonderful thing you are doing, and I'm sure that you are appreciated much more than you will ever know!
