Koumidiator KFC WRW made that point answering my last question. Who else agrees it would be a waste to see him on tape only? Disagree?

I agree with you and Koum!!LOL!!

Well,it is almost pointless.
First of all,The Rock needs to get paid to do that even it is only a taped vignette. It is a bad move anyways for WWE in managements part.Secondly,i don't think that the fans are excited to see The Rock in taped video. What's the point of that?We can buy his movies and see him taped in backstage segments and more.It is better even to see his old videos promos...
After the vignette that made for the Trump vs McMahon i was slightly disappointed and i i am giving an advice to all of us,the fans,to wait for Monday, and not keep the hopes for live appearence up..
It is even better to stay hope and build hype for another appearence in the future live than make an appearence via tape..

I hope i will be prooved wrong and The Rock will make an appearence.I am sure that the fans will go crazy..

It's just like a "return engagement" for actors that have since left their previous employer. Nothing else. Maybe the significance of an anniversary for that running soap opera has the same meaning as an "old timers game" in legitimate professional sports.

In entertainment such as the awards show, when actors cannot make it "live", they usually tape something beforehand, or have the writers write a script and utilize it with a running dialog with whomever is onstage in order to make it seem like it's "via satellite".

In the WWE's case, when they announce that wrestlers are not in the auditorium or arena, it's a lie because I've seen "satellite" feeds on the big screen only to see that specific wrestler getting a hot dog or nachos five minutes later at the refreshment stand back stage.

If Rock just want to appear on tape and not be there and in the ring, I think he shouldn't even appear.I agree.

You know, I'm disapointed with The Rock, because he choose a lucrative more easier career as an actor, than entertain and be with the fans. The Rock forget about where he come and who put him there on the way to become a Hollywood superstar. When he was in WWE, he was among the best, a legend and people loved him and he was really close with the fans and travel to entertain the troops, etc.
Now he is like his move "Scorpion King", a guy who lives in a castle and thinks prowrestling and WWE as a bunch of idiots.

The Rock doesn't need to wrestler because Stone Cold doesn't wrestler and he still makes appearances.Mike Foley and JBL are retired too and they make appearances too.Stone Cold started a acting career. The Rock doesn't have grude of some sort like Bret Hart has or Hulk Hogan. In conclusion, The Rock has 0 reason to not be physically present on 15 yr Anniversary of RAW.If he is not physically present in the ring and make a speech like he used to do, and just appear in videotape, then you know who really is the Rock now and he should not be in the WWE Hall Of Fame.

Get out The Rock, you don't care about us fans. You are not even The Rock now, you are a softie.

The Rock is a busy person, he is a pretty big movie star now, so if he makes a taped or sattelite segment, thats good enough. Lets face it, he is the best wrestler turned actor ever.Guys like Steve Austin and Mick Foley and JBL dont really have busy schedules like Rock so thats why you see way more of them.

I also think it's pointless because the fans want to see him in the ring but it won't happen because Dwayne said he doesn't want anything to do with wrestling anymore and that it was a phase in his life.

He shouldn't forget who made him who he is and i think he's too big headed for his own good now.

Ask that to WWE who will get a lot of television view by the name "the rock" alone

Eh, he will still get cheered. But i think he's an @ss for not coming just for one show. It's like he wants to pretend he never was a wrestler.

why should he bother appearing on tape when whatever he's gonna come up with via satellite is going to be similar to this:
