They are afraid of different people because they are not sure about their sexuality. Also I think it's because a few gay people over do it sometimes (I will not give any examples but google it) thus giving the gay community bad critisism.
P.S . I'm not gay and I haven't got a problem with them.

I don't have a problem with it either. But I find that people hate that which is different from themselves. Perhaps it arises out of fear, I don't know. Look in the R & S section and see how religious beliefs create the same feelings. It isn't only about sexual persuassion.

People are afraid of what's different and it's not directly the persons fault, his beliefs are based on what his was taught while growing up. You watch, in about 10 years when the new generation kicks in, gay people wont be fround upon.

People are idiots. Why someone would have hatered in them for something that has nothing to do with them is beyond me. In fact I can see an upside to guys being gay. It means there's less competition. Although girls being gay is a bit annoying. Although we can always dream of a threesome with two girls. And lesbian porn is nice.

I'm not either and I do not see anyones preferneces as any of my business. So I agree with you.
Many of the people who so hate them are so called evangelical Christians and that is not what Jesus taught.
I'll never understand it. I cannot clean up my own backyard sufficiently to judge another person.

it seems society neeeeds to have a fearsome, \
and evil force alurkin' in the shadows
- in other times, it was leprosy, mental illness,
and even communism
-----and now, the boogy man is homosexuality.
only trouble is when the sun comes out,
the fearsome shadows disappear.
when people understand these things,
they learn they have nothing to fear

sometimes it's just hating someone/something different.
sometimes it's hating something they recognize but supress within themselves.
sometimes it's about feeling powerless in the world, and finding someone to blame/hate becomes placebo-empowerment.
