Lighter colors (frosty white) and alot of shimmery stuff to reflect the light from the overhead lighting in the office. Or use a white tree to make the colored ornaments really pop!

My grandma has a tree (a 4 foot one, not her main one) that she decorates in silver, gold, and white. She has shiny silver and gold ornaments, sparkly white tinsel, a few angels, a Christmas tree...they're light colors, and the shiny ornaments will reflect light and make it seem even brighter. She puts white bows around it, too. Honestly, you can't even tell there aren't lights on it. She makes it pretty crowded, so you can still see the green but not too much of it. It's gorgeous.
Good luck!

Oh, you can be really creative. You can use tinsel, glittery tree ropes, pretty, shiny decorative ornaments.
