I love my country. Definitely not Hilary or Obama.
Even though voting is like pissing in the ocean, who should I vote for?
I own a house.
Prior military.
Been arrested for public intox (a month ago)
Immigration (hmmm...Don't know about the ones who are already here)
Abortion (Yes if it was rape)
Gays (Don't care)
Don't ask, don't tell (Don't care)
Morgage crisis assistance (I'll apply since my house value hasn't gone up much in a year)
Iraq, Iran, Afgan (Brother in the army and don't want him to get killed)
Other issues.......I'll add details later.
Who should I vote for?

If Arnold became president, then we would have a Chinese president in about 20 years. That's the only reason I would be against that.
Remember when Israel planted a president in Syria.
Look it up.

Voting is a very personal thing. One of the problems with todays voting is that many people don't make up their own minds; they follow a specific party or follow the crowd. I have a friend who votes straight one party even if he doesn't like the candidate!!! He/she won't even think about the candidate in the other party even if that candidate may be better.
Listen to the debates, the questions asked and how they are answered. Research the candidates on the Internet or in the Library. I don't like to believe all that I read in the papers or hear in the news. Journalists/newscasters are notorious for telling only one side of the story whatever their beliefs are. They are frequently biased. Pick the candidate that you feel best coincides with your beliefs/needs and vote for him/her. I agree that sometimes voting feels like "pissing in the ocean" and that even sometimes the wind changes and it comes back to hit you in the face, but your vote does count. With it and the other "one" votes the person that you want in the White House just might get there.
The race is just heating up, right now there is nobody as far as I can see that is better than the other. They are all to interested in black listing each other. Occasionally there is a ray of light. Hopefully in the year to come the rays will turn into strong beams and one candidate will really light up.

You must look up Ron Paul, from what you listed, it would seem like you would agree about 80% with his stances. On top of that, the guy hasn't wavered for years, and there is almost no "dirt" on him for the other candidates to use on him. Truly an amazing chance for our country.
He's also ex airforce, a Doctor, and a Congressman for 10 terms. McCain has said "he's the most honest guy in Congress", even though McCain is now trying to attack him in the debates.

I personally like Edwards ideas on what the nation needs. He grew up in the middle class and had to work his way up. How ever much he now has, he always can look back and remember what his childhood was like. He's probably one of the only candidates, in my eyes, that wont intentionally or unintentionally screw the middle class.
But those are only my thoughts. You should do some research and make up your own mind. Try out this website: http://www.MyElectionChoices.com . It takes statements that each of the 20 or so candidates said and breaks them down by category. Then you pick the category you care about and select the statements you agree with without having any names attached to them. Then, when you're finished, it shows you who you agree with more often and will even show you who said what. I've found it very helpful and highly recommend it.

I'm sorry. This is a decision EVERY American of age has to make for him/herself. People can give list several reasons to vote for his or her favorite canidate, but a person who their their mind made up already is only going to tell you the GOOD side of their canadate, while they remain blind to the bad. As you know every canadate has a bad side!
A TRUE educated voter searches for the answers him/herself about EVERY canadate and makes a decision upon what he/she likes as well as what bad he/she can accept. If you cannot find the answers to the questions most important to you, perhaps the candidate has ignored the problem. Go to a debate... send a letter... make a phone call to the office and ask them yourself.
Oh and don't ignore people you have already made judgements on. After your complete research you may find that someone you hate now is still the best choice among those available.
Don't allow others to do your thinking for you. It is your vote, use it wisely!

I agree with most of what you've said.
No Hillary for sure.
Obama? Just don't know yet. I never like the "slick" ones. Didn't like Bill Clinton for the same reason (he was named "Slick Willy" for a reason, you know).
Still checking out the rest. I am trying to separate my personal feelings for the person from my evaluation of his leadership abilities. I really don't have to like someone to elect them President. If I believe they are best for the country.
And I don't want another rigged election like we've had the past two times. I still believe Bush DID NOT beat Gore legally. And I didn't like Gore much better. And I did not like Kerry at all, so Bush seemed like the "lesser of two evils", an opinion I've since regretted.
The primaries should be interesting. Just hope we don't end up with two dogs as our final choice. I hate voting AGAINST the worst candidate instead of voting FOR the best.

Seriously like u said it's like pissing in an Ocean, don't u think it answers for itself. Whoever u end up voting will someway or the other corrupt the nation irrespective of him/her being capable to do something better in their initial phase, all try to do something better to get vote and then screw up royally. I bloodyyyyyyyy don't care for politicians they all r monsters in disguise and no good for mankind in general.

lou dobbs is a commentator who is not running for
president. christopher dodd is running for president, the
man you don,t like is probably the best man of either
party running.
since you do not like hillary, obama, or bobbs, i
suggest john edwards.
the way things look right now the two you first mentioned
hillary and obama are the front runners.
i would suggest in your position to vote for the democrat
nominee, even if its one you may not like.
