Apparently David Abrahams will not be getting his money back as promised by Gordon Brown...is this another one of Gordon's gaffes? Doesn't he know the law?

The businessman at the centre of the row over hidden donations to the Labour Party is unlikely to get any of his money back, the BBC has learned.

Sources at the Electoral Commission have indicated that the £663,975 given by David Abrahams via associates will instead go into government reserves.

Labour officials have been holding talks with the commission over how the money should be re-paid.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has promised to return the donations.

So it appears! The level of hypocrisy, corruption, and dishonesty we see from this Labour government today is without precedent.
Gordon Brown will stop at nothing...

iv given up counting how many promises this guy has broken. and to think we all thought it would be so different, shades of 1997 when we thought new labour were the best thing to happen for years. good point about the money, i think they are banking ( no pun intended ) on most people just shrugging their shoulders and saying who cares, and who is to say they will be wrong? lets face it when you look around everyone seems to have given up.
